Security Central
Unlike most of the rest of the complex, the security offices are designed for ease of use rather than aesthetics. Wood paneled walls and marble floors are not to be found here. Brushed steel and plate flooring take their place. The acoustics in this room are designed to muffle sound, so despite the metal flooring and the constant coming and going of security personnel, the area does not quite achieve a cacophonous state. A large bank of monitors takes up the bulk of the east wall. On each is displayed video from various security cameras as well as information garnered from customs and immigration. It is from here that security can keep an eye on most everything that happens in the Complex. There are always at least two uniformed guards on duty with nothing to do except watch the monitors. A broad desk is located near the entrance, with an officer present to handle queries.
Three arched doors lead from this area. One to the brig, one to private offices, and the third to the elevator lobby.

Riley walks here from the Chief Addison's Office.
Riley has arrived.
Kyara glances up, faintly surprised. "Have a nice nap?"
Riley comes padding out, two large manilla envelopes in hand. One, marked 'Return to sender' he stuffs into the out box. The other he retains, stifling a yawn. "Something of the like, yeah. How're things?"
Kyara gestures toward the few papers on her desk. "Almost finished with these," she notes, looking annoyed at that fact.
Riley's brows lift at the annoyed look, looking somewhat amused. "Mind too much if I give you some more? It's only a couple pages."
Kyara beckons. "Oooh, gimme. Please. The more, the better."
Riley tears open the envelope, carefully sliding the contents from it and dropping them in front of you. Contained therein are several pages of paper and a single chevron. "Here you go then."
Kyara blinks, slowly separating the papers to skim over them. Then her jaw drops. "What the...?" She looks up with more than a little confusion. "I don't understand..."
Riley is all innocence, if somewhat sleepy innocence. "I'm sure if you read the paperwork it'll explain what it is."
Kyara shakes her head. "I understand what it is. I'm fairly sure I haven't earned it. Less than a month ago I was nothing but a disgrace, and now this?"
Riley just lifts his shoulders in a shrug, "I don't explain them, I just hand them out."
Kyara blinks again. "This wasn't your doing?"
Riley just grins rather vaguely, "Some promotions I request, some aren't my call, and I refuse to admit which are which."
Kyara glances toward the doorway out, thoughtful for a moment, then shakes her head. Very reluctantly, she gathers up the papers, places the chevron atop them, and offers the pile back. "Thank you very much, but I can't accept it."
Riley looks a bit taken aback, and more than a little dissapointed, but he accepts the pile back with a nod. "Your perogative certainly."
Kyara just shakes her head. "I don't deserve it," she says quietly. "Not yet. Not so soon after..."
Riley carefully folds the contents of the envelope on themselves and back into the thick manilla envelope. He tosses it in the out basket with the first. "Clara said you needed to see me?"
Kyara closes her eyes for a moment, then shakes her head. "What I needed to speak to you about... well," she gestures toward the out basket with a wince, "If I don't deserve that, I hardly deserve what I was going to request."
Riley simply nods, a formal inclination of head and shoulders. "I bid you good evening then?"
Kyara swallows, eyes fastened on her desktop. "I suppose so. Have a good evening."
Riley simply nods, offering a polite wave. "Good evening, Kya."
Riley heads towards the Second Floor Elevator Lounge.
Riley has left.
Kyara waits just long enough to be sure the elevator's come and gone- long enough to get those last few papers filed- before fleeing.
You head towards the Second Floor Elevator Lounge.

Room N10(#1501R)
A small, simple and efficient room. Sunlight is piped in, down a reflective tube, from the upper levels. A sleeping unit pulls down from one wall. The desk does double duty as a dining area with two chairs and a cooking unit. Cupboards provide storage above and at the end of the desk. A small closet is tucked in next to the door, and a bathing unit is squeezed into the corner opposite.
The room has been brightened with a cheery pink coat of paint. The quilt and blankets on the neatly made bed vary in shade from lilac to lavender. Off to one side on the desk, out of the way of anybody eating there, is a single picturecube. It bears a photo on each side- a Stilvani couple; Clara; two of Riley- one showing him green (that one's face down on the desk), the other working at his desk; Niko; and Kya's military photo.

You say "Clara?" into the communit.
Your communit crackles to life and says "Clara here. Kya? Is that you?" in Clara's voice.
You say "Yeah. Hey, you busy tomorrow? I suppose you are, what with getting settled back in and all, but..." into the communit.
Your communit crackles to life and announces "Not that I know of? I'll have a couple hours of physical therapy, but I'm not allowed back on duty until the day after tomorrow. What's up, hon?" in Clara's voice.
You say "I just.. Dammit, I went and did it again, and I'm /right/ this time, but I can't... I just need to talk to somebody." into the communit.
Your communit crackles to life and blares "Aaah. Yeah, of course, Kya. I always have time for you, you know that. I'd offer it tonight, but I'm still not all together together from being back on a planet. Want me to comm you when I get done in Medbay?"" in Clara's voice.
You say "Tonight'd be bad. Any time Riley's off-duty'd be bad. Yeah, that sounds good. Thank you." into the communit.
Your communit crackles to life and says "Of course, I understand. Was there anything else?" in Clara's voice.
You say "Um, not unless you've got a miracle pill of omniscience, nope." into the communit.
Your communit crackles to life and announces "*snicker* Now, Kya, if I had that, do you think I'd be a peon doctor for the AF? Okay, I probably would, but that's beside the point. Why don't you just get a good night's sleep and we'll grab lunch tomorrow." in Clara's voice.
You say "Sleep... sure, lunch'll be great. Thanks, Clara." into the communit.
Your communit crackles to life and announces "Hey, it's what I'm here for. Saints know I'd rather be here for this than on the Outpost for random bacteria testing. G'night, Kya." in Clara's voice.
You say "*softly* Good night, Clara" into the communit.
